Reviews of GroVia MyChoice Trainers?

Anyone have personal experience with GroVia My Choice Trainers? Daycare is really pushing to start PL with my 20mo, who is frequently staying dry for 5+ hours at a time, and through naps.

My local CD store is having a grand re-opening sale on Thursday, and I'm thinking of snagging a couple of these suckers. (uug, love how ~$20 is considered "affordable".) Any real-world reviews from this community?

Barring that, any other trainers that deserve a shout-out? I love the idea of side panels that come apart if necessary (cuz the thought of dealing with poo in a pull-down situation is terrifying to me!)

TIA!

They are working pretty well for us. They have good absorbency, but don't give a false dry sensation as do Pullups. They can get overwhelmed particularly with a big pee.

My annoyance is my big hipped son required the XL panels. Not bad enough to pay $19/each for the trainers, but then to pay another $4 for the panels.

How many trainers do you have in rotation, and how long are you using them (like, all day?)

Trying to get an idea of what I'm looking at here.

We have 6 trainers. We mostly use them for daycare. He typically may need one change. Often though, particularly if he actually uses the potty, he comes home in the same one he wore.

They are supposed to be washed within 2 days of soiling, so we only need 6.

We found that the gro via AIT worked well as trainers as they have flexi slides, still fit my almost 3 year old (37lbs/3'3") for night wear. We just put a single booster in there instead of the usual snap in insert. Then at night we use the snap in plus a gro via booster and a small Thirsties booster just in case - though only wet once or twice in 10-14 days of late - almost ready to be out at night!

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Looking at the Gro-Via website, the only diaper with flexi-sides is the My Choice Trainer.

Is this AIT an older style?

Sorry, the All In Two Nappy - it has a very elastic back and the poppered tabs have stretch so that they can be used like a pull up.

They are working well for us, and we also use the XL panels! I would recommend them. I wish the rise were a bit higher, but we don't have leaks so I can't complain. Yet.

We have six trainers, but we also have 8 Under the Nile organic cotton training pants. I put him in a GV until he has his daily BM, during naps, and when we go out; other than that, I sometimes just put him in "underpants."
